Privacy policy
Effective November 2, 2026 · All rights reserved
1. Who we are
Vulkan ("Vulkan", "we", "us") is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. It applies to Vulkan Hub, the license system of Vulkan products, Vulkan's Discord server and bot, receipt emails and the Vulkan website. How to contact us: section 12.
2. Data we process
- Account: from Discord when you sign in, your Discord ID, username, display name, profile picture, email address (only if Discord has verified it) and whether two-factor authentication is enabled on your Discord account; your role, membership status, interface language and notification choices
- Sessions and security: sign-in and session information, IP addresses, your computer's name, an identifier of your Vulkan Hub installation, and records of important actions such as sign-ins, purchases, payments, program launches and key redemptions
- Devices and licenses: device identifiers derived from your computer's hardware (only in hashed form; the hardware information itself doesn't leave your computer), your computer's name, the devices registered to each license, records of program launches, and information used to protect the products against unauthorized copying and use
- Purchases and payments: orders, products, prices, keys, the coin, network and address of each payment, the amounts sent, the payment status and the notifications we receive from the payment provider, balance movements, and when you accepted the Terms; we never receive card or bank details
- Vulkan+: invites (including the Discord account an invite is reserved for), your application, your answers to the interview questions and the decision
- Resellers: the reseller profile and listing, keys, stock and notes
- Support: tickets, messages, the details you give in applications, and attachments
- Vouches: your star rating, your text and when it was written, changed and approved
- Program logs: messages that licensed programs send to Vulkan, linked to the license, the device and your account
- Hub crash reports: technical information about a crash of Vulkan Hub and about your system, sent automatically after the crash
- Discord server: your membership in Vulkan's Discord server, the permission you gave Vulkan to add you to servers, the roles given to you, the voice rooms you own and their settings (until the room closes), and moderation records
- Technical data: the Vulkan Hub version and language sent with requests, and technical logs of our servers, which are overwritten automatically after a short time
The website has no sign-in, accounts or forms and doesn't ask visitors for personal data.
3. Why we use your data
- To provide the Service under the Terms of use: your account and sign-in, licenses, payments and orders, the balance, receipts, support, Vulkan+ and the reseller program (performance of a contract)
- To protect Vulkan and its users: securing accounts, verifying licenses, preventing and investigating fraud, license sharing, piracy and other misuse, keeping records of important actions, and fixing errors (legitimate interests)
- To run Vulkan's Discord server: adding you to the server, giving roles, moderating messages, posting approved vouches and sending you direct messages about your account (legitimate interests; you can turn off direct messages and leave the server)
- To keep accounting records and comply with lawful requests (legal obligation)
- To publish your vouch: you decide whether to submit one and can remove it at any time (consent)
We don't sell your personal data, show ads, use analytics or tracking, or send marketing emails. The only emails we send are purchase receipts, which you can turn off in Vulkan Hub.
Licenses are verified automatically. Decisions to suspend or revoke a license are made by Vulkan.
4. Who can see your data
Vulkan staff, as far as their role requires. Support staff may be notified about your tickets, including on a staff-only channel of Vulkan's Discord server.
Approved vouches are public: they are shown on the website, in Vulkan Hub and on Vulkan's Discord server with your Discord display name, username, Discord ID, profile picture, star rating, text and approval date. A vouch you remove is no longer shown.
If you redeem a key issued by a reseller, that reseller can see your Vulkan username. If you are a reseller and choose to be listed, your listing is public.
5. Service providers and other recipients
- Discord Inc. (USA): sign-in, adding you to Vulkan's Discord server, server roles and direct messages. Profile pictures are loaded by Vulkan Hub and the website directly from Discord, so Discord receives the viewer's IP address
- NOWPayments (payment provider): the order number, amount, currency, coin and a description of the order, but no name, email address or Discord details; the payment itself is made on the public blockchain
- Our hosting and backup storage providers: servers, file storage and backups
- Our email provider: sending receipt emails
- Authorities, where the law requires it, and a successor that takes over the Service (Terms of use, section 22)
Some of these recipients process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep data
- Account, sessions, devices and program launch records: as long as your account exists; IP addresses in sessions and launch records are deleted 90 days after their last use
- Records of important actions, including the IP address they came from: as long as your account exists
- Orders, payments, licenses, keys and balance movements: as long as accounting and tax rules require and as needed to handle disputes, and at least as long as your account exists
- Support tickets, applications and Vulkan+ applications: as long as your account exists; attached files are deleted 90 days after a ticket is resolved
- Program logs: 14 days
- Hub crash reports: 90 days
- Vouches: shown until you remove them; the record is kept for moderation
- The permission to add you to Discord servers: until you withdraw it in Discord or it stops working
- Moderation records on Discord: 24 hours
- Backups: 14 days
When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure; tell us right away if you notice a problem.
8. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask us for access to your personal data and a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw your consent at any time (for a vouch, by removing it). You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Send requests via a support ticket in Vulkan Hub (Support › New ticket) or a message to the team on Vulkan's Discord server. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours, and we answer within the time the law requires.
Some data can't be deleted while it is still needed, such as orders, payments and licenses we must keep for accounting and legal reasons, and records needed to prevent abuse. Deleting your account ends your licenses and your balance.
9. Your choices
- Turn off receipt emails and Discord direct messages in Vulkan Hub (Settings › Notifications)
- End sessions in Vulkan Hub (Settings › Sessions)
- Leave Vulkan's Discord server, or withdraw the permission to add you to servers in Discord (User Settings › Authorized Apps)
- Remove your vouch in Vulkan Hub
10. Children
The Service isn't intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age for using Discord in their country. If we learn that such a child has an account, we close it.
11. Changes to this policy
Vulkan may change this policy at any time. The version published on the website applies; the date at the top shows when it took effect.
12. Contact
Questions and requests about your data: a support ticket in Vulkan Hub (Support › New ticket) or a message to the team on Vulkan's Discord server.
